Very nice Andre,

The trees turning colour remind me of the north of BC where the Pine Beetle is killing all the pine forests. We have year round autumn colours there now until the trees are harvested by the carpenter ants for homes and food.

Is the Danube Valley eastern Germany or is it south western Germany?

Somehow I suspect it to be further along it's route.  It could be Austria, or even as far along the southern Transylvania Alps in Romania.

No it's Southwest Germany, some 10 miles from where I live.
