Well, since this is a general discussion, I was wondering what kind of music do you like? Any favorite songs, composers, or bands?

So what do you like then Wink

fav artists are Bruce Springsteen, Jethro Tull and Runrig (Scottish folk/rock band) and in general I like most rock, folk, country, blues and classical music. I tend not to like anything that gets into the UK singles charts ..... Razz

Let's see, well, my favorite artists would have to be something like, Beethoven, Bach, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, and Weezer. Good stuff.

Jethro Tull, quality. My personal favourites tend to derive from the 60s-70s, I love Hendrix, Led Zep, Cream, The Who. Plus some old blues, "world music", and modern rock bands like The Mars Volta, NIN. Oh yeah and of course Jazz too, particularly anything Miles Davis related, or Larry Young, not too keen on big band stuff though.

The Mars Volta? Very nice! I haven't heard them in a while now. Have you heard At The Drive-In?

I'm in to all sorts personally, mostly rock. To pick a few faves, Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins, Oceansize, Machinehead, Howie Day, Incubus & Jeff Buckley.

Eric Clapton, Joe Satrini, Danny Elfman. The music I grew up with in the 60's and 70's will always be near and dear to my heart, but I also enjoy early Baroque music.

Sure, why not,

My favourite music is everything that sound harmoneous. From ABBA dancing queen (yes I'm that old) to Melody in F by Rubinstein. From Toccata and Fuga of Bach to Time To Say Goodbye from Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Curious enough is the latter living legend hardly known in The Netherlands.

I like various music, probably considered boring by music aficionados but
hey, different strokes for different folks...

I like the Mice singing in Babe, If I Had Words. It's so funny too.

I like Jackie Wilson singing Lonely Teardrops, because he is so over-the-top melodramatic, it is funny.

I like the New Flamenco guitar sound of Govi, Treasure Bay. You all have probably heard this in a commercial.
